Refurbishment update

Hi Everyone,

We are four weeks into the refurbishment which was when I had hoped the club would be fit enough for members to play. Unfortunately we are waiting for the new glass doors to arrive for all courts and for the floor to be fitted in the changing rooms. Other than these final parts for the courts and changing rooms the work has been running to schedule. By the end of the week I should have a better idea of the opening of the courts and changing rooms. The work on the bar area and final cosmetic finishing touches (where we will be calling on members to help with some painting) will be carried on throughout May and into June which was always the idea. The plan is to have courts 2, 3 and 4 available to play on and the changing rooms available before opening back up. We will be using the bar upstairs until all work is complete.

Work that has already been completed.

70 solar panels.
New insulated ceiling over courts and viewing area.
LED lighting on all courts.
Under floor heating on all courts.
New court floors on 1, 2 and 3 with court 4 being relaid with the best of the original wood.
Court walls most in need of plastering have been skimmed.
Disabled toilet built in the ladies changing room.

Work currently ongoing but still to be completed.

Refurbish ladies and gents changing room.
Fire alarm.
Refurbish bar area.
New emergency exit with ramp.
New internal doors.
Doors on courts.
