Club Captain and Kirklees leagues
Morning everyone,
I’ve received an email this morning confirming that the Kirklees squash and racketball leagues will start again in October.
There will be opportunities to play in these teams and the information will be on the notice board in due course.
Richard Eastwood has decided to step aside as Club Captain as he has lots of commitments this year which has given Simon Haigh the opportunity to take the role on.
I want to thank Richard for all his hard work as Club Captain (although he’s not leaving the club) as he is a big part of why things run so smoothly. I’m sure he will be still be on hand if needed along with Charlotte who also has a big involvement with the teams.
Simon Has been at the club since he was a junior having great success at it too, playing for England and being the highest placed European at the British Junior Open in his teens.
Simon knows this sport and club as well as anyone so I’m sure he’ll take to the role like a duck to water.
It will be great to have some team squash back at the club again.
