Housekeeping and info December 22

Hi Everyone,

There’s a few housekeeping points to mention for members and visitors of the club to consider.

I understand that these are obvious points but unfortunately I do have to address them due to a few incidents.

Club Energy costs

With the recent increase in energy prices please be considerate when using the club. If you are using the club during the day could you turn the lights off when you leave, also please don’t mess with the thermostat in the bar if you feel the club is cold. We are doing what we can to retain the heat in the club and be as efficient with the use to keep costs down but at the same time keeping the club at a good temperature. Lastly please don’t change any settings on the court heats as again this could conclude in unnecessary costs.

Guests at the club

As a member you are welcome to bring a guest at a cost if £4 guest fee which you can select on the booking system, this also means during the day, although I’m sure you are all aware by now they must also have clean indoor none marking shoes.

Friday night kids coaching

We are so lucky to have a facility and coaches to give children the opportunity to play squash in a great environment. I think most members leave the kids to have a free run of the club on a Friday night so you may have not experienced the busyness. Unfortunately some of the behaviour of a few individuals does spoil the experience for others. I won’t go through a list of issues but I will say that we have had staff not happy working that particular shift, children not comfortable coming to the coaching anymore due to others behaviour, property damaged and unfortunately the list goes on. This is your club so all I can say is please make sure you support the club by looking after it.

Sorry, a few negative points but they have to be made.
