Memberships and Sponsors

Hi Everyone,

The yearly Membership is due now until the end of September for the renew price of £135 for a full member but will be £150 if you miss the deadline.

Most members do take the full membership option but there as a few different options if you play during the day or wanted a family membership so please let me know if you would like to discuss.

All members (kids & adults) can register free as an England squash member which comes with a number of different benefits, link below.

A number of parents have contacted me keen to make their child a member so there are a few options this year depending on useage and possibly age.

Basic Kids membership:- (ideal for the younger children): £20 means they can take advantage of free lights when courts aren't occupied during bar opening times plus inhouse coaching and England squash affiliation.

Full Kids membership:- (booking courts and playing other members): £40 full playing member to be able to book courts.

Kids lights free:-

Many moons ago when I first started at the club and I used to put endless pound coins into the lights on a Friday night so my son could go on court while I had a beer (of course!) I said that if I got involved with the club I would let kids have the lights on for free when the parents were drinking in the bar for a simple reason that it’s great for the kids to be able to play and develop their game without even realising it while the parents are putting money behind the bar, ultimately making future club players. So if courts aren't booked the kids are welcome to come to the bar and ask for the lights on a court. The exceptions are if a court is booked by the child or their parent then that will have to be paid for otherwise this is potentially costing the club a booking…. Hopefully that makes sense.

Guests playing:-

Another passion of mind as well as getting more kids playing is exposing more people to squash.

Having a guest fee does this, I’m more than happy giving new potential members a few free sessions for them to get the bug of squash or racketball when they enquire.

If you have a friend that’s interested in playing and you would like the club to offer the same thing then please speak to me and I will be more than happy to help.

Unfortunately there’s becoming a few too many instances where members are bringing friends during the day to play and not paying the guest fee online. Again this is something that costs the club money and the clubs flexibility.

Nothing ground breaking just clearing a few things up with a bit of common sense.

Sponsors:-

If you currently have a sponsorship board I will be sending invoices out shortly. If you are interested in having a board in the bar on a court or sponsor a squash team then please let me know, it's a great way to support the club and expose you business locally. savoysquash@outlook.com or 07525740333.
