Chester Dockray

Hi Everyone

I’m taking advantage of having this platform mainly so people understand that Chester will be looking for sponsors and I don’t miss the person what might have said “I’d have sponsored him but I didn’t know he was looking for anyone” ???????

Quite a few members will know my son Chester and the years of court time he’s put in at our club and more recently at Pontefract playing premier league for them along with finishing 3rd at the English championships plus being Yorkshire champion at every age level he’s played at.

Although he’s already training with professionals at Pontefract, next season he will be starting his journey of being a full time professional squash player which will be a long slog from that point to rise up the world rankings.

This season he will be registering as a junior pro attempting to get into some lower grade tournaments before the real hard work starts next year.

Chester has been lucky enough that he has been approached to be sponsored which is a welcome help in this financially tough sport. Nevertheless he will need more sponsors as time goes on hence this email.

It’s not something he’s ever had to look for before and probably isn’t really educated on the level of support sponsors give. At this stage I thought it would help towards kit, travel, pro registration, competition entry etc…

He will be sharing his journey on social media from this season when the season starts and will share his experiences especially in November where he has been asked to play for Borderline squash in the Italian league against other professional teams.
